This document relates to the next generation Driver Development Kit (DDK) for the BNCS Broadcast Control solution. The kit is released in parallel with BNCS V5.5 and should be used for all driver development intended for use with this version or later. The framework is not backward compatible with earlier versions of BNCS. Design strategies for drivers that are required to support both the old and new frameworks are provided in the section Designing for Backward Compatibility.

 

This kit is designed for use with .NET 8 or later.  Development required Visual Studio 2022 version 17.8 or later with the .NET 8 SDK installed.
