Permitted Use

Use of this kit is regulated by the terms of your BNCS license and must be used in accordance with those terms. Broadly speaking, this kit can be used in the creation of two distinct classes of software, Drivers & Automatics.

A Driver is defined as an interface between the BNCS solution and some external piece of equipment and enables BNCS to control that piece of equipment.

An Automatic provides logic functionality specific to the BNCS software domain, it does not directly control a piece of equipment (although it may do indirectly via a driver)

Your BNCS license may permit the creation of Automatics but not Drivers.  It is your responsibility to ensure that the use of this toolkit is in accordance with the terms of your license.  In particular, your attention is drawn to the intellectual property ownership provisions of the BNCS license.

Atos have chosen not to generally distribute this toolkit externally in source code form and only the Atos provided compiled libraries may be used.  This is to prevent the proliferation of modified versions of the frameworks.  Should there be functionality missing from the framework that is required for a specific application, please contact the BNCS Development Team.

In a similar vein, the latest releases of the BNCS Core CSI application has a new WebSocket IPC Interface.  This interface is, however, considered private and is only permitted to be used via this framework.
